DVD by Win StraubeTai ChiTai Chi is an ancient Chinese discipline of meditative movements practiced as a system of exercises. Gentle deliberate movements refresh the body, revitalize the spirit and clear the mind. Tai-Chi improves the blood circulation, strengthens the cardiovascular system, massages the internal organs and supplies the entire organism with life energy. For the mind, it teaches concentration and visualization techniques. Both a self-defense system and a moving meditation, Tai-Chi develops peace and harmony in its practitioners, no matter what. Win's classical form of 150 movements is the ancient Chinese way to health and longevity.
Tai Chi classes led by Win Straube meet every morning, Monday through Friday from 7 am to 8 am at the Fitness Center, One Poolside Nauru Tower, Ala Moana Beach, Honolulu. Anyone can join, putting body and mind into balance for a healthier, happier, stronger you. Win's over 40 years of Tai Chi practice, both in Asia and the United States, includes study with the following teachers: Susanna DeRosa in Princeton NJ, Tan Yong Seng and Ng Say Lin in Singapore, T. Y. Pang and Judy Lee in Hawaii. Win Straube also was featured in the Republic of Singapure's movie "Homeland," demonstrating Tai Chi as practiced there. DVD available from movie made for television in Hawaii, “Sunrise at Magic Island.” Camera by Kimo Sutton.
